Eminem, Kanye West, Jay-Z and more will face-off at MTV's 2009 Video Music Awards as they compete to win in the "Best Hip-Hop Video" category this fall.

The rap stars will also face competition from rap newcomers Asher Roth and Flo Rida.

MTV's Video Music Awards "Best Hip-Hop Video" nominees: Eminem's "We Made You," Kanye West's "Love Lockdown," Jay-Z's "D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)," Asher Roth's "I Love College" and Flo Rida's "Right Round." (Press Release)
This year's showcase will be hosted by comedian Russell Brand.

Russell Brand is returning to host the 26th annual MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 13 from Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Last year, the combination of the relatively unknown British comedian with the seemingly never overexposed Britney Spears paid off for MTV as the VMAs pulled in record numbers for the network.
